Sally McRae Holey Moley Bowl workshop

Thursday 9th October, 11am-2pm

Holey Moley Bowl Workshop – Thursday 9th October 25
At this 3 hour workshop you will make a Holey Moley Bowl which will measure approximately 19 cm when finished.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience of working with glass as the small group size of up to 8 means that I can tailor my support to each individual participant.
My workshops are always relaxed and fun and I provide a wide choice of glass and all the tools and equipment you need to make your beautiful piece of glass.
After the workshop I will take your glass home and fire it twice in my kiln, the first firing will fuse the individual pieces of glass together as a flat piece and the second much cooler firing is in a mould which will form the glass into a bowl shape. Your finished glass will be delivered back to Lamport Hall within 14 days of the workshop.
Suitable for all abilities. Old clothes are recommended. Please do not wear open toed shoes.
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Sally is a glass artist from Northamptonshire. She has always loved the vibrancy of glass and loves to experiment with designs and techniques. There are so many things to make, different techniques to learn, firing schedules to develop the possibilities for experimentation are endless. Sometimes experiments work out and lovely unusual pieces are created, other times they don’t! The great thing about fusible glass is that failed pieces can be recycled into new things so there is no waste.
Sally loves to share her knowledge and her workshops are always both relaxing and fun.
