Public Access

Access to the countryside and outside spaces is incredibly valuable, perhaps now more than ever. Across the Lamport Estate there are 4.6 miles of bridleways and public footpaths, with an additional ¾ mile of permitted routes.

In order for all to enjoy their visit, but also to ensure that this beautiful landscape is protected and that wildlife, livestock and farmland is disturbed and destroyed, please follow Natural England’s Countryside Code.

Respect Other People
  • Consider the local community and other people enjoying the outdoors

  • Park carefully so access to gateways and driveways is clear

  • Leave gates and property as you find them

  • Follow paths but give way to others where it’s narrow

  • Do not stray from marked paths

Protect the Natural Environment
  • Leave no trace of your visit, take all litter home

  • Don’t have BBQs or fires

  • Keep dogs under effective control

  • Dog poo – bag it and bin it
