The Great Bug Hunt Grab your magnifying glasses and embark on a bug-tastic adventure! Explore hidden nooks, peek under leaves, and follow the delicate trails of our tiny insect friends. Who knows what wonders you’ll discover? Ladybirds, bumblebees, and perhaps even a beetle or two await your keen eyes. Playdough Bug Creations Roll up your sleeves and mould your own magical bugs! Our playdough station is buzzing with excitement. Soil Expedition: Seek Pretend Bugs Dig deep into the earth, just like a curious beetle tunnelling through soil. Search for imaginary bugs—perhaps a glittering earthworm or a fanciful ant with wings. The soil holds secrets, and you’re the intrepid explorer. ❄️ Ice and Flower Sensory Play ❄️ Chill out with our icy adventure! Touch frozen petals, feel the crispness of frost-kissed leaves, and let your senses dance. Imagine frost fairies fluttering around delicate blooms. It’s a sensory symphony of cold and beauty. Leaf Crown Crafting and Painting Channel your inner forest royalty! Weave leaf crowns fit for woodland queens and kings. Adorn them with petals, acorns, and tiny bug figurines. Then, unleash your inner artist—paint leaves with hues borrowed from the sunset and the forest floor. Don’t Miss Out! There are two sessions: 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm. Adults will need to purchase a garden entry ticket for £11. Under 11s visit the gardens for free but will need to pay £10 per child to take part in the class. The class is limited to 15 children and is recommended for children aged 2-11. Adults must stay to accompany their children during the whole session. You would be welcome to explore the grounds between 10am and 4pm on the day. Picnics are welcomed but must be eaten on the picnic benches provided. The cafe and gift shop will be open. Please dress for the weather. In very bad weather, the event will be moved into a barn.
