Oxford University Dramatic Society presents The Taming of the Shrew

13th September

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, we are delighted to welcome Oxford University Dramatic Society to perform The Taming of the Shrew at the Hall. Sir Gyles Isham, who setup the Preservation Trust, was President of the Society during his time at Oxford and played Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew with the Stratford Festival Company. This performance is a celebration of his early acting career.

This Oxford University Dramatic Society production is an excitingly controversial, reframing of The Taming of The Shrew by William Shakespeare, a romantic comedy about two equally fiery and witty personalities, Katherina and Petruchio, who finally meet their match in each other. Part of the OUDS National Tour, this production will be performing in Oxford, London and at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024.
