Civil Marriages and Wedding Receptions

Lamport Hall

Lamport Hall provides an atmospheric location whether you choose to enjoy just your civil ceremony with us or the full memorable occasion.  There are two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies; however we never have more than one wedding at a time.  Therefore you can enjoy your special day with exclusivity.

For a civil ceremony we can provide:

  • A preparation room for the bride and her entourage for one hour prior to the ceremony
  • A civil ceremony in the Oak Room (provides a stunningly atmospheric touch to your day, with the staircase entrance for the bride and the option of signing the register in the Library.  The space can accommodate 80 guests) or High Room (which Is the tallest space within Lamport Hall and as such provides a breathtaking setting for your civil ceremony.  The space can accomodate 50 guests and has the added use of the baby grand piano.)
  • The use of our gardens for one hour after the ceremony for photographs
  • Drinks with or without canapes after the ceremony (this is an optional extra)
  • Whichever room you choose will be set up specifically for the number of guests you expect up to a maximum of approximately 80.
  • Off road parking

For a reception we can offer:

  • Formal wedding breakfast with top table in the Victorian Dining Room for up to 44 guests
  • Informal wedding breakfast in the House for up to approximately 80 guests
  • Use of the grounds for a marquees for a wedding breakfast and evening reception for up to 150 guests until 11.30pm (noise restrictions will apply)
  • Larger numbers may be possible
  • Please note that due to the nature of the house and its contents, dancing is not permitted inside the house
  • We do not have accommodation but there is easy access to Northampton, Market Harborough and Kettering
